Cardinal Therapeutic Home Services, Inc. is licensed by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services as a Child Placement Agency for treatment foster care services.
Our agency has been providing treatment foster care services since 1994 and offers the following:
- Over 100 bed capacity (Counties: Cumberland, Hoke, Lee, Moore, Robeson, & Scotland)
- Services are provided in a natural family setting with one or two therapeutic foster parents per home
- Client need matched to Therapeutic Foster Parents strengths
- Fully trained and experienced Therapeutic Parents (up to 15 years experience)
- Full licensure and accreditation; approved Credentialing/Privileging system
Therapeutic interventions provided by Therapeutic Foster Parents & Therapeutic Home Services Clinical Staff include:
- development and/or maintenance of daily living skills
- anger management
- social Skills
- family living skills
- communication skills
- relational support
- other specialized outpatient, psychological, psychiatric, and psychoeducational services are available as needed and authorized
As the safety of our clients is of utmost importance, all Cardinal Clinic Therapeutic Foster Parents receive certification in CPR & First Aid from the American Heart Association, as well as Medication Management, Bloodborne Pathogens, & Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Trainings (CCI). Therapeutic Parents also receive 40+ hours of pre-service training which includes ABC Parenting Skills and MAPP-GPS.
- Cardinal Therapeutic Home Services Clinicians provide clinical oversight for Therapeutic Foster Parents
- 24-hour on call clinical support is available to Therapeutic Foster Parents (including weekends and holidays)
- Individual, family, & group outpatient services are available as needed and authorized
- CBS Professional and Paraprofessional services available as needed and authorized to:
- support school performance goals
- support transition and/or step-down goals
- support therapeutic leave goals
- support goals established for parent(s)/caretakers
- Cardinal Therapeutic Home Services, Inc. offers a timely admission process with after hours & emergency admissions available.
